An authentic local place (established in 1896!) serving delicious Dutch/European food in a very warm and pleasant atmosphere. They open at 4 PM, and I highly recommend making a reservation — you won’t regret it. We arrived around 5:30 PM, and within half an hour the place was completely packed. I visited with my 12-year-old daughter, and we had such a lovely experience. The restaurant was perfectly comfortable with great air conditioning, especially on a warm day. The service was amazing from the start, and we were served a fresh bread basket with delicious butter right away. The fries were absolutely to die for! My daughter is vegetarian and had a fresh pasta with red tomato sauce — she loved it and finished the whole plate. The food was fresh, the prices were very reasonable, and the overall experience was wonderful. Highly recommend booking ahead!

Feed was great. The service was perfect. Casual and professional. They put you at ease whilst also giving you a great service. Quite the skills. Food was lovely and Rose wine was especially good! Will go back when I’m next in Amsterdam to impress my friends. I had the Leek Croquettes to start, schnitzel main and chocolate moose for pud.

The spot may not seem fancy, but the food is delicious. I tried the schnitzel while my partner went for the beef stew, and both were amazing. Seriously, you won't regret going there; it's that good! Plus, the staff is super friendly. My partner and I had a fantastic time there!

Lovely local hotspot that was very busy but we had booked before our arrival in Amsterdam. Wonderful staff. Good selection of traditional food items that were all very tasty. Recommend to any visitors to Amsterdam.
