I think its a great concept and the fact that you know that what you are getting is so fresh is amazing. The only thing that i suggested to them as well is that a clearer picture of the prices. Since i was a tourist and didnt know the language and to be honest even the name of some of the fish/seafood i chose, i wasnt sure what bill to expect at the end. Same goes for the wine section too. Other than that highly recommended place to visit and a must experience.

I can't say enough good things about Pesca. It wasn't just dinner it was a dining experience. No Menus, you are greeted and walked over to the Theatre of Fish with all the fresh offerings on display. You pick out how much or how little of each item you want (except for the whole fish) and are explained how each will be prepared or what options you have. We went with a lot of different options so we could try as much as possible. Then you swing by the Wine market where you can pick out a bottle, cocktail, or glass of wine. Service was amazing and the food was stellar. I would say this is my favorite seafood dinner I've ever had. As a starter we had the Hamachi. Definitely get the bread because it and the butter it's served with are amazing. Then we had a couple of scallops, Octopus, Gambas, the mussels and clam combination, calamari strips, soft shell crab, and finished it off with my favorite fish of all, Turbot. If you love seafood you will remember this restaurant for the rest of your life. Cheers!

I celebrated my 40th birthday here last week and had a fantastic time, would recommend. The fish market is a great touch where you can choose from available seafood and have the preparation explained to you. We went for french oysters, tuna ceviche, tuna steak, octopus and fries. The tuna and oysters were our favourite dishes, and the seafood is very reasonably priced.

Pesca was one of the highlights of our time in Amsterdam. The restaurant offers a unique seafood market style experience where guests select their fish directly from a daily display before choosing how it will be prepared. The process is interactive and fun without feeling overwhelming. After choosing seafood, guests can also select sides and wine before sitting down for the meal. Everything we tried was excellent and incredibly fresh. The oyster preparation on the day we visited was especially memorable and ended up being one of our favorite dishes of the night. Overall, the combination of high quality seafood, interactive dining, and great atmosphere made this one of the best seafood experiences I’ve had.

We had a very satisfying and memorable dinner! I visited with a close friend who had traveled from abroad to see me. I had contacted the restaurant in advance to ask about preparing a surprise plate for her. While that wasn’t possible, they thoughtfully prepared a warm message card at our table instead, which made her very happy! We truly appreciated the gesture! Upon arrival, we first chose the ingredients and portion sizes, and discussed the cooking methods. After that, we selected drinks to match the dishes at the wine booth before being shown to our table to enjoy the meal. I found the concept very unique and engaging, and the entire experience was truly enjoyable. I will definitely back again! Thank you for such a wonderful evening filled with excellent food and attentive service!
