It was a very pleasant experience both aesthetically and gastronomically. It’s an open kitchen so you witness all that movement in the kitchen which is very original and interesting. The waiters are very attentive and fast. Food is flavorful and delicious. Our favorite was the calamar sandwich (6€), but everything we tried was good. Try to make a reservation before coming otherwise it may not be possible to sit right away. We will definitely come back :)
One of the best meals I ever had in my life. It was a beautiful experience from wine to dessert. The fresh razor clams were so amazing that we had to order round 2. Red prawns that were just caught in the morning were the best thing ever. Shrimp in garlic was exceptional. Our server was fast and friendly. We couldn’t be more happier! Make sure you make your reservation. From what I saw it looks like walk in is literally impossible to get a table.
Proper local Spanish spot. Busy, loud in the best way, full of energy. The staff are sharp and professional. Exceptional food. Everything feels high quality. One of those places that reminds you why Spanish cuisine is so good. I had a great time with my friends.
What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming—exactly what you want for a night out in Barcelona. The staff greeted us warmly and were attentive throughout the meal, offering great recommendations and explaining each dish with genuine passion. Every course we tried was outstanding. The tapas were beautifully crafted, bursting with fresh flavors and authentic Spanish character. The seafood was exceptionally fresh, and the seafood rice was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Their wine pairings perfectly complemented the food without overpowering it. We opted to sit at the bar, which added an energetic and fun vibe to the evening—watching the chefs at work was a treat in itself. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was seamless and never felt rushed. If you’re visiting Barcelona and want a truly memorable meal that highlights the best of Spanish cuisine, Cañete is an absolute must. Highly recommended!
Some of the best food I have ever had. I was truly blown away here. Absolutely loved the steak with pate, spicy octopus, squid sandwich and herring appetizer. It took a while to get seated but the service at the bar was excellent. The wines were great too, and very reasonably priced! Truly the highlight of my time in Barcelona. I would love to come back and try the rest of the menu.
