What a gem this museum is! 🙂 Great value for money, there is so much to see and interact with. Beautifully designed and curated. The rainforest and the fish pond are a brilliant touch. Everything looks amazing and as if a lot of love and care went into designing it. There's also a great gift shop with a lot of cool gifts, a café and a restaurant. The atmosphere is really friendly, with many groups of children and students exploring the collection. The museum is enjoyed by visitors of all ages. The line for the tickets was quite long so I recommend booking in advance.
I visited CosmoCaixa with my daughters and we all had a great time. They absolutely loved the interactive exhibits, and it was really fun to see them learning while playing. The Flooded Forest was especially impressive, with real plants and animals that made it feel like a small rainforest inside the museum. Even as an adult, I found it very interesting and enjoyable. It’s a great place to visit with kids and spend a few hours exploring science together.
I didn't expect what I finally saw. I gave it a 5/5 and I could have given it more! The museum is amazing!! It has many themes and many interactive boxes to understand the theories of science. The themes today were (planets, climate change, natural phenomena, dinosaurs, the Paleolithic era and many more!) You need to know that it will take you almost - the whole day - because it is very big so make sure not to book anything else. The ticket costs only 8 euros for adults. The restaurant and bar are quite organized with very good prices. Go and visit it by all means! It is definitely worth it!
The CosmoCaixa Museum of Science was absolutely amazing — easily one of the best museums in Barcelona. It’s not right in the city centre, but it’s very accessible by metro or bus, and well worth the trip. The museum itself is huge and breathtaking, both in scale and design. The architecture alone is impressive, but what really stood out was the immersive rainforest exhibit. Seeing a recreated rainforest environment with live animals was incredible — something you don’t often find in museums. This is a fantastic place for families and children, with lots of interactive exhibits that make learning fun. There’s so much to see and read that I’d recommend allowing at least two hours to fully take it all in. I truly enjoyed spending the afternoon here — well worth the price and a must-visit if you’re in Barcelona.
Great experience! I came because of rainforest, but took much time to go through artefacts since they were quite engaging and interesting! Even though I have seen a few science centres, this one is the best of them. Base Antartica and Rain Forest wonderful exibits! Lunch place is also super, all you can eat for 17euros, with caffe next to it. I expected more of outside gardens, and gift shop, but regular. All in all, worth visiting for all ages!
