Free on first Sunday of the month. A great museum for lovers of all things design. I am not a museum-lover, but spent two wonderful hours on the bottom floor (main exhibit) and top floor (fashion). There is a free audio guide you can access with a QR code using your own device, so bring headphones. It is very convenient to get there using public transit.
One of the most fascinating museums I’ve been to. As a fan of design I could see so many inspiring things from sustainable interior design to fashion history. Made such a good impression on Barcelona to me. A must not skip!
Super interesting, loved the printed media section. The design of clothes on the top floor was well presented but not my interest area. The area around the museum is also worth a look.
I am not into design but I was with a friend crazy about it, and he loved the furnitures part and posters one and thought it was worth it it is one of the museum you can go for free after 3pm every sunday so go for it, give it a chance!
I attended the Service Design Days conference at Disseny Hub Barcelona on September 17, 2022, and it was an excellent experience. This was the seventh edition of the event and part of a two-day conference (September 16–17) focused on human-centered design and innovation. The conference brought together professionals from diverse fields, including product and service innovation, strategic design and business strategy, and digital transformation of organizations. The program was thoughtfully curated, featuring engaging lectures, real-world case studies, and hands-on workshops. Disseny Hub Barcelona proved to be an ideal venue—modern, spacious, and well-equipped for a transdisciplinary event of this scale. The environment fostered meaningful conversations and collaboration among forward-thinkers, change-makers, strategists, practitioners, and entrepreneurs. Overall, it was a highly inspiring and well-organized event in a world-class design venue. I would highly recommend both the conference and the location for anyone interested in design, innovation, and future-focused thinking.
