The view is SPECTACULAR!!! The exhibitions are AMAZING. You need a few hours to go through everything and enjoy it. Be prepare to climb because to see you the view you have to work for it. Unfortunately we didn't get there as early as we wanted because they were closing soon the day we went because it was a Sunday and they are close on Mondays. I wish they let people know when buying tickets online. I saw some people who were arriving at closing. The good thing is they provide a pass for another if you arrived late which is good if you have more time in your travel.

Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya is a stunning place to visit even from the outside. Although we didn’t go inside the museum, we really enjoyed the beautiful exterior, the impressive architecture, and the amazing atmosphere around it. The location offers fantastic views over Barcelona, and the whole area feels grand, peaceful, and perfect for walking around and taking photos. Especially around sunset, the scenery becomes even more beautiful. Definitely worth visiting even if you don’t enter the museum itself.

This is a beautiful museum, and a lovely pathway leads up to it. From afar, you can already see the grandeur of the building. Its large dome, broad stairs, and cascading water that resembles a waterfall. If you make it to the very top, you’re rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of Barcelona. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get inside the museum itself, as I hadn’t purchased a ticket. However, the exterior sights alone were so breathtaking that it made the visit worthwhile. I highly recommend this spot for a walk, a date, or just sightseeing.

I suggest arriving from the Espanya metro station. It is about an 800m walk but you get to see the Museum high up which provides great photos. You also pass by the Fountain which is really cool to see. We visited on a Saturday from 5pm - 6pm - tickets are free during this time (you need to book entry from the official Museum website). If you want to explore the whole Museum you will need more time but we were able to hit the highlights. From the entrance you also get amazing views of the city.

We ordered a free Saturday ticket a bit in advance on the website. And we liked our visit a lot. Next time we are in Barcelona we'll definitely come earlier, cause we managed to see only the first floor and the wonderful roof in 1,5 hours. It was interesting! Worth the visit.
