I was thrilled to have a chance to visit one of top 3 cocktail bars in the world, which held the #1 spot just recently. Sips truly lives up to the hype. The cocktails are simply delicious, creative, balanced and beautifully presented. I absolutely loved the atmosphere, the dim, moody lighting creates a perfect vibe. The island bar in the center is a very cool touch, making the whole experience feel more interactive and visually interesting. What makes sips special is hospitality, it is at a very high level. The attention to the details is incredible, the moment your water glass is empty, it’s refilled, the napkins are replaced almost immediately. The staff is fantastic, not only experts but are also very friendly. It’s a wow factor.
Atmosphere: 9/10 Dark, electric, and stylish, Sips moves away from the classic bar counter format. Seating is arranged around tables and high-tops with a central island bar as the focal point. The design feels modern and theatrical. Music volume was well set, and the backbar complements the sleek look. Drinks: 9.5/10 Recommendation: All drinks The digital menu is beautifully designed but not easy to navigate. The selection is extensive, with cocktails that are consistently well balanced and creative. Presentation stands out — inventive glassware, thoughtful garnishes, creative ice, and polished coasters. This is a place where you’d confidently recommend trying everything. Service: 9/10 Water and snacks are served on arrival. The team is friendly, professional, and highly attentive — at times almost too quick to clear glasses. Reservations are recommended. Prices are significantly above average for Barcelona.
Excellent cocktail bar with creative, varied drinks served with flair. Not too gimmicky. Someone is taking the time to craft balanced and complex drinks. I hope to try the sipping menu next visit but the front room is great. Service was good, despite the crowd.
I had a disappointing experience at Sips, and I genuinely felt the staff were being racist. The European guests at the table right next to us were served two bowls of chips, while we were given only one. I don’t even care much about the chips, but the difference in treatment was obvious. To be fair, the cocktails at Sips are good — but the service and overall vibe were so bad that it completely ruined the experience for me. When we tried to order our second drink, the waitress told us she would come back. I understood she was busy, so we waited — but even after 15 minutes she never returned. Instead, she wandered around and chatted with other tables, completely ignoring us. We had to call her again when she was serving the table beside us. On the other hand, I highly recommend Paradiso. I had an amazing experience there — the cocktails were incredible, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you feel valued and want to stay longer. If you’re a cocktail lover, definitely try Paradiso.
Sips was ranked no.3 bar in the world. Now I know why :) Absolutely amazing cocktails, well informed bartenders, amazing atmosphere and great crowd. The cocktails are slightly more expensive compared to other bars we have in Barcelona but they are worth every penny. Budget about 60 Euros per person if you would like to try 3-4 cocktails and dress well. Else, you'll feel out of place.
