Spectacular! Food, service, ambience, all top notch! One of the best restaurants in Barcelona and the most enjoyable Michelin starred restaurant I've been to. Special mention to all the staff, they strike the perfect balance between the top service of a michelin starred restaurant, with warm and nice treatment, from start to finish.
Not a mediocre 3 but short of 4. I really enjoyed the old decor and ambience. The service was impeccable and friendly, but I really expected more from the food. Nothing really impressed me and that’s not even considering the price. The Turbot was a little hard, the squab was quite unbalanced and the Turnedo didn’t have truffles and just a small piece of Foie. The best: the Flan!
Very nice ambience! The food was fine but not great, the pigeon was not cooked well. The service was poor - we were told to eat faster because the kutchen was ready, and cutlery for the next course was arranged while we were still eating. On top of that, the waiter asked how much tip we'd leave which was rude.
An intermediate experience. It's very old world, the decor is outdated, the staff are very good but it feels formal. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food had highs and lows, some plates were excellent (for example the quail), others mediocre to poor (eg the prawn with macaroni: the fumet was excellent, the macaroni way overcooked and not finished in the sauce). Given the price they charge for a mixed experience, I wouldn't return. You can do better elsewhere.
This was our first time at Via Veneto and for sure won’t be the last. We had a super delicious food, I am vegetarian, and is not easy for me to find good options when in Spain, I am so grateful to the staff of this wonderful restaurant because they offered me a wide range of vegetarian options off the menu. The service and the vibes are extraordinary. I totally recommend it!
