Great lunch. We shared a mixed salad and had the Lamb tacos (4) and the soufflé potatoes. The bread basket with shaved butter balls, marinara, a basil sauce, and a hot sauce was delicious. There were two breadsticks, two croissants, and two large dinner rolls. The only thing that was disappointing was the lamb was chewy. The flavor was good. The salad had beets, onions, hard boiled egg and tomato in an olive oil dressing. The best part of the meal was the Flan. Wow!!!! Best flan we have ever had!

Really late review as it’s been a few months but it was our second time visiting as we visit Cancun regularly and I guess La Isla had been renovated since we last went in 2023. The soufflé potatoes are a must and come in an edible potato chip bowl - so good! The tomahawk was also delicious especially with the dipping sauce they had. I don’t recall what it’s called but it’s a green chile oil or something and was so good I wish I could have had some more for another steak we tried. Dessert was a show, something flambed but was just ok in terms of taste. The presentation was cool though.

We have been coming here for about 20 years. 3 locations and still amazing! Pedro Torres is such a great man serving us! Best steaks in all of Cancun! I have traveled the world and this is my absolute favorite restaurant. The sweetbreads and Cambalanche Tenderloin would be my last meal if I had to choose. ❤️

Absolutely 10/10! This is our favourite restaurant in La Isla. The steak is amazing and we love the sides. This visit we shared the sirloin for two and the souflée potatoes. The table side Caesar salad is also great. Totally worth it if you want to splurge at least one night of your trip. Filiberto was a great server!

From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. We ordered the Spaghetti Cambalache and the flat steak, and both dishes were outstanding. The pasta was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor, while the steak was cooked to perfection — juicy, tender, and beautifully presented. We eat halal, so my friends enjoyed the steak, and they couldn’t stop praising it! A special thank you to Alberto, who took care of us throughout the evening. With over 20 years of experience, his professionalism and warmth made our dinner even more enjoyable. He was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about his work — something that really stood out. The ambiance was elegant yet cozy, with a classic touch that matched the restaurant’s heritage. If you’re in Cancún and want a memorable dining experience with impeccable service and high-quality food, Cambalache is a must-visit! Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back.
