Rooftop bar in Köln with city views! I was looking for a nice rooftop bar to have a drink to relax and wind down from my tourism, and I was fortunate to find this one. Part of the Hilton chain, this hotel used to be a water tower and now turned hotel. Pretty cool concept! The Views were great, super service, and an excellent spirits menu. Fully recommended if visiting Köln!

We had a very disappointing experience today that completely ruined what was supposed to be a memorable day in Cologne. Visiting the city for a couple of days, we decided to stop by this bar for some good drinks in a nice atmosphere. Although the waiter initially welcomed us warmly, that friendliness quickly disappeared. We placed our drink order and waited for quite some time, only to find out later that our drinks hadn’t even been prepared. Meanwhile, new local guests arrived and were immediately served, which felt both disrespectful and uncomfortable. The bar wasn’t even busy, so there was really no excuse for such poor service. We decided to leave after realizing that we were being ignored, and the staff made no effort to explain the situation. This was my second visit to this bar, but after this disappointing experience, I won’t be coming back or recommending it to anyone visiting Cologne. Not a trustful place for tourists.

It’s the kind of setting that makes you want to linger — perfect for a romantic date, a stylish night out with friends, or just treating yourself to something special. The staff is warm and attentive, striking a great balance between being professional and friendly. They’re happy to guide you through the menu, make recommendations, or customize a drink to your taste. Their genuine hospitality adds to the relaxed, upscale vibe of the place. Now for the one downside: it’s very expensive. The prices are definitely on the high end — expect to pay a premium for both the drinks and the experience. This isn’t the place for a budget-friendly night out, but if you’re looking to splurge or celebrate, it’s absolutely worth it. In summary: fantastic cocktails, stunning views, excellent service — but be prepared for steep prices. It’s a luxury experience, and if you’re okay with that, you’re in for a real treat

Bar Botanik (Hilton Köln, 11th floor) is hands down one of the best bars I’ve ever been to. The botanical cocktails are absolutely incredible—beautifully crafted, unique, and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is just as impressive, with stunning panoramic views over Köln, a live DJ setting the mood, and an elegant yet relaxed vibe. The service was impeccable from start to finish. A special shout-out to Rudi, the bartender, who went above and beyond. Not only is he exceptionally skilled at his craft, but he also brings such passion, creativity, and warmth to every interaction. He made our evening unforgettable. If you’re in Köln and looking for a top-tier cocktail experience, Bar Botanik is a must!!!!!! Make sure to go when Rudi is working! :)
