This Cathedral is just breathtaking. It's huge and has a mysterious vibe to it. Both the outside and the inside of the Cathedral are beautiful, it makes you admire the hard work that was put in the building process of this place. I recommend to go there at night since there's very few people and you can take a look at the Cathedral in less loud and chaotic surroundings.
An impressive cathedral and definitely one of the highlights of Cologne. The architecture is stunning, both from the outside and inside. I also climbed the tower, which was an interesting experience and worth doing at least once. The view from the top is beautiful, but be prepared for a lot of stairs—more than 500! By the time I reached the top, I was completely exhausted. Still, it was a unique experience and I’m glad I did it.
Really pretty gothic style cathedral. We were able to walk straight in (Monday in March) and were able to walk around. Impressive glass windows and also the shrine to the wise men there too! You can also pay to walk up the tower which is another cool thing to do.
Beyond Expectations in Every Dimension Cologne Cathedral is simply amazing—one of those rare landmarks that surpass even the highest expectations. Its massive size is awe-inspiring; this is an extraordinarily large structure that dominates the skyline and the city center in the most impressive way possible. My family and I were completely captivated from the moment we approached. The Gothic architecture is stunning in its detail and grandeur. Every corner reveals intricate stonework, soaring spires, and beautiful stained glass that creates an almost ethereal atmosphere inside. We found ourselves constantly looking up, around, and discovering new architectural elements to admire. + Plan Your Visit Wisely Make sure to set aside at least 2 hours to fully enjoy and appreciate both the history and architecture of this masterpiece. We needed every minute to absorb the exterior details, explore the interior spaces, and truly understand the spiritual and historical significance of the cathedral. Rushing through would do you a great disservice. My family and I enjoyed every moment of our visit. This is a must-see spot in Cologne that truly lives up to its UNESCO World Heritage designation. Whether you’re into religious history, architecture, or just want to experience one of Europe’s most iconic landmarks. Thank you & God bless you and your family 😊
The Cathedral is a Marvelous Piece of Architecture, Internal view made you is mesmerizing. Great View & ambiance in Germany: As i visited first time i like overall planning, its size & visitors gathering. Cathedral is simply awe-inspiring. It’s massive and has an enigmatic atmosphere. The exterior and interior of the Cathedral are stunning, prompting admiration for the effort invested in its construction. I suggest visiting at night when there are fewer visitors, allowing you to appreciate the Cathedral in a more serene and peaceful environment.
