The museum is not totally closed, although the main building is under much needed renovation. There are, however, two large rooms at the Belgian House for a reduced price. These two rooms are excellent, and for those interested in the subject, well worth a visit. Very disappointed to not see the entire museum, but glad they’ve been able to set up a taste of the full museum. Clearly, the collection is outstanding. Definitely worth your time.
It’s a pity the current exhibit is just an abridged version as the original museum near the cathedral is closed for renovation. Nonetheless, it did an excellent job in presenting the Roman artifacts of the Germania. Do not miss it if you are interested in the Roman Empire. Be cautious that you will be under close surveillance of the staff whose gaze made me so self-conscious.
It is a museum dedicated to the archaeology and history of the Roman and Germanic cultures in the region. The museum has a collection of pre-historical and Roman artifacts, including pottery, jewelry, and sculptures. It takes about an hour to complete a visit to the museum. The adult ticket costs 6 euro, and the museum offers lockers for free. It is recommended for those interested in archaeology and the history of the Roman and Germanic cultures
Great value for really not much money especially if you’re a student, I got in for €3. Not a particularly large museum, but what they have is very interesting. It’s cool seeing things up close that I learned about in high school history class 8 years ago.
I visited this museum a couple of years ago, this is really breathtaking! The pieces they have here! Offcourse u need to know something about history to enjoy.. otherwise u can do this in 10minutes, ive spend a couple of hours in this place! I read they are moving, u will definitely pay it another visit!
