Undoubtedly seafood I will remember for a long time. Goose barnacles (percebes) came attached to the sea rocks they were harvested from. They tasted delightfully of the sea, with a firm bouncy texture, subtle sweetness, and bloody saline juices which gush out upon breaking the shell. Clams in olive oil with garlic and parsley (amêijoas) were so fragrant, and especially delicious when mopped up with their crusty buttered toast. Tiger prawns were fresh, firm, and sweet. Without a doubt, the carabineros was the star. Please, please, cut a bit behind the head to not leak any of the precious juices. It has a unique flavour that I struggle to put into words, and is unlike any other sea creature I’ve tasted, from Thailand to Hong Kong to London. The flesh was akin to salted butter in texture and flavour. I finished my meal here with the classic steak sandwich and caffe. The rare steak was so soft and tender, fragrant with charred garlic, and went great with the provided mustard and chilli oil. There is good food and good food, this is the latter. I cannot recommend Marisqueira do Lis enough!!!! 80 euro for all this food.

Good food for sharing a good time. Food: Nice fresh seafood, some were salted. Good with beer and drinks. Service: Server was good, stop us from ordering more that we could handle. Overall a good experience

Decent food but terrible service, won’t be coming back. We got a 2-person seafood platter and octopus salad which was enough for three of us. We were recommended to come here by a tour guide and arrived around 6pm on a weekend and had no wait. The waiter was extremely impatient and asked for our drink order within two minutes of sitting down but didn’t even bring us a drink menu until we asked what the options were when he came to take our order. The waiter also spilled the wine all over the table when he brought it to us and didn’t say anything when we asked about the charge for the bread and sliced meat that he brought to us with the wine, which ended up costing us €4 and €14 respectively which we wouldn’t have eaten if he’d answered us at the beginning.

Fresh seafood. We ordered a seafood platter, the portion was big and it had different kinds of seafood including percebes. The garlic sauce was amazing.
