Absolutely loved AO 26 Vegan Food Project. This place has such a cool courtyard vibe — tucked away, beautiful, relaxed, and one of those spots you instantly want to stay awhile. The atmosphere feels warm and lively without being too loud, and the food completely lived up to it. The sparkling sangria was so good, the main dishes were absolutely delicious, and the peanut butter chocolate pie was next level. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. Easily one of my favorite vegan spots in Lisbon and definitely worth the hype.
I’ve been looking into this restaurant for while before going to Lisbon, so the expectations were high and I was not disappointed. The service was friendly and surprisingly fast given that the restaurant was full (I’d advised booking a table just in case), and the food was amazing. For entry we had “Cartas de uma nova terra” which was a sort of tartare of jackfruit, and it was incredible. The Francesinha and Simone were also really good (and we should know since we are from Porto :D). I have no words for the creme brulee 🥹. For me, is one of the best vegan restaurants for sure.
Best restaurant I’ve ever tried in my life. The servers were very kind, especially Brenda, who helped us choosing what to eat (very hard decision, everything looked so delicious, but she was right and thanks to her we had a wonderful experience!), suggesting to add scrambled “eggs” and mixing typical “fish” and “meat” dishes. Everything was tasty, particular and traditional at the same time. Compliments to the chefs :) The music too was amazing!
This restaurant is clearly a classy one. Since they opened the door and welcomed us in it was obvious that a lot of thought is put behind the appearance, the service, and the cuisine. The food is carefully thought out so that all flavours go well with each other. As a starter we had the "Choco frito". As a main we had the "Bife au paillard", and the "Lado B" burger. Every soft flavour combined into a delicious meal. Highly recommended. The servers were always kind and available, making it a great experience. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. Booking recommended.
The BEST vegan food I’ve ever had. The dish I chose was shredded celery root wrapped in seaweed and bed of sauteed cabbage and resting on a perfect square of creamy/crispy polenta. The main ‘logs’ were satisfyingly substantial with both a shredded and chewy texture. The seaweed coating was no thin wrapping! It was prominent and held things together. The sauces that were on the whole lot were divine, including a fresh green oil. I’ve saved this location for next time I’m in Lisbon. I’ll be back!!!!!
