Great seafood restaurant with very high-quality and fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the pink shrimp, black tiger prawns, and the local specialty Al Ajillo Especial. The goose barnacles were also good. The red shrimp was slightly salty for my taste, but overall the seafood was excellent and well worth a visit.
This restaurant truly lived up to its reputation. I was grateful for how professionally they prepared such fresh seafood. It was impressive that they even had a designated waiting area with number tickets for the huge crowd of customers. Despite being incredibly busy, the staff were very friendly and their service was flawless and professional. They even peeled the shrimp at the table and poured the shrimp juices back over the shrimp — the flavor was absolutely incredible. A remarkable dining experience.
Overall, we enjoyed the flavors here and most of the seafood tasted fresh and well-prepared. Everything paired really well with the white wine, which made the meal even more enjoyable. One of the most memorable parts was definitely the shrimp they were incredibly fresh and had so much rich shrimp roe/flavor, which we loved. The only thing that felt a bit questionable to us was the crab. The staff showed us a live crab before cooking, so we expected a very fresh texture, but when it arrived, it honestly tasted more like previously frozen crab. The meat was sticking heavily to the shell and didn’t have the clean, firm texture we usually expect from fresh crab. We’ve had a lot of fresh seafood before, so the texture felt a little strange and inconsistent with what we were shown. Aside from that, the overall seafood flavors were still very enjoyable, and we had a great experience dining there.
Made a reservation about 2 weeks in advance for a birthday dinner. This was probably the best seafood I've ever had. The crab was spectacular. 10/10 no notes. Service was great too!!
There's a reason why this is considered one of the best seafood restaurant in Lisbon. All seafood was as fresh as you can find. The swimming crab was a pretty tasty cold dish you won't find in many places. The garlic crab was hot, tasty and cooked just right, not too overcooked as it sometimes tend to be. The tiger prawn was decent, taste and texture somewhere between smaller prawns and lobsters. The garlic bread was nice too. And everything went really well with their on tap beer. The service was excellent; they made you feel at home with their informal attitude and humor. You'll likely need a reservation beforehand to get in, and it needs a deposit. So prepare for a proper sit down meal, not something in-promptu.
