I think Blacklock is a great steak restaurant. On my first day I tried the T-Bone and it was really good, although medium-well turned out a bit overcooked. On the second day I ordered the Denver steak. They recommended medium-rare, so I went with that, and it was fantastic. The local IPA wasn’t bad either, although I personally prefer stronger beers with steak. I didn’t like the white chocolate cheesecake very much — it felt too fatty and artificial, more like a simple wedding cake. Don’t believe the hype too much. Overall, it’s a nice steakhouse in Soho with great staff, and I would recommend it.

Omg, no notes 👌🏼 walked in around 5.30pm on a weds and they sat us quite quickly although the place was packed, much appreciated. Had the steak sandwich, steak pie and chips. One of the best meals we ever had- could tell they cooked the food with so much love and passion. The white cheesecake at the end was the perfect cherry on top. Reasonably priced, good vibes and great service. Could not recommend it more!

Exactly what we wanted - a Sunday roast lunch for the family! The choices are purposely limited so that you can be sure the restaurant is concentrating on doing one thing really well. There was a line up outside when we arrived, and I was glad I'd made a reservation two months in advance. It was very busy quite quickly. It is a bit tight but good natured overall. We had great service and even though two members of our party were delayed coming on the tube, we weren't pressurized to get going. We were told when the staff expected to have the table back and the timing was perfect. We had just asked for our coats back at the end of that time! Our party of seven had a variety of the roasts and no one was disappointed. There is a lot of food on the plate when it arrives and it was hard to find a place to start! The Yorkshire puddings are enormous, and delicious. There is gravy for everyone and even the veggies were amazing. Do remember to save room for dessert. We sampled the outstanding cheesecake and bread pudding with ample custard. We were delighted with our Sunday lunch. Highly recommended.

Yesterday had a massive walk and really needed really needed a good dinner. Managed to get a reservation here for a roast dinner in the evening and went for the “All In” because why should you not for that price in central London. I was nervous that it would be a case of cutting corners or just general okay-ness. However, the portion size was pretty much perfect. The meat was great, one small cut was more bone than meat but the rest was a perfect medium-rare cut. The potatoes in duck fat were brill- plenty of flavour and really crispy. Yet the gravy was an absolute showstopper for us! So much flavour and they were so generous with it. My main complain of many roasts in London is how stingy they are with gravy but here they topped us up like it was tap water. The gravy jug literally never ran dry. I was so happy by the end of this meal and then they let us try the cheesecake! Couldn’t ask for more, thanks so much.

A friend pitched this to us as "better than the hawksmoor and cheaper!" I have to say it exceeded both of those expectations. The staff were fantastic and so was the food. We went for the "all in" and shared a bread and butter pudding. It was a fantastic date night and left us both very satisfied. I would wholeheartedly recommend 👌🏽
