Utterly delicious. I’m vegetarian and my husband eats meat. We ate here for a special occasion this May and had the set menu ‘Bubala Knows Best’ which was just stunning. The food is outstanding; rich, robust and flavoursome yet elegant and cool without being pretentious. We were provided with some complimentary additions which was just part of the excellent service! Incredibly fast and attentive service without the staff being too friendly or over familiar - the perfect balance in my opinion. The mushroom skewers and smacked cucumbers are a particular highlight, and as a non-drinker I only wish more places would include a Botivo cocktail as delicious as salty and spicy one (which quickly became two!) I was made at Bubala Spitalfields. A highly recommended experience.

We had a lovely lunch at **Bubala** to celebrate Valentine’s Day and it was truly a wonderful experience. We opted for the Vegetarian Mezze set menu and absolutely loved every bit of it. Everything was excellent, but the hummus with burnt butter and pine nuts was the perfect start, especially with their warm bread. We were initially hesitant about the halloumi on the menu, but the halloumi with black seed honey was a pleasant surprise and we were so glad we did not skip it. The famous confit potatoes were worth every bite, with layers and layers of potato goodness. My husband really enjoyed the oyster mushroom skewers, and I loved the radicchio with clementine, dates, and Sichuan peppercorn. To finish, we were also kindly treated to the coconut chocolate tahini fudge, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch and the perfect sweet treat. We were lucky to get a lovely seat by the window, but what truly made the day memorable was the hospitality of the staff. Kai and Ruby were absolutely exemplary, very knowledgeable about the menu, and warm and welcoming. The service was perfectly paced, neither rushed nor slow. Their hospitality made our afternoon truly special and memorable. Huge kudos and thanks to the team. We will definitely be back.

Bubala Festive Menu So I don’t usually go for veggie food, but Bubala’s festive menu totally changed my mind. Honestly, every dish was packed with flavour and felt super satisfying. - The laffa flatbread with hummus was the perfect start — warm, fluffy bread with hummus that was creamy, nutty, and just the right amount of tang. - The oyster mushroom skewer was smoky and juicy, almost meaty in texture, and full of umami. - The smacked cucumbers with chilli were crunchy, fresh, and had a fiery kick that kept me going back for more. - The halloumi was golden and caramelised, salty but with a sweet edge — seriously addictive. - The kohlrabi added a crisp, refreshing bite that balanced out the richer dishes. - The confit potato latkes were next-level — crispy outside, buttery inside, and so moreish. - And the dessert? Rich chocolate with nut flavours… indulgent, decadent, and the perfect finish. Drinks were just as good: - The tequila & mezcal cocktail which comes with the festive menu itself. - The pomegranate sour was tart, slightly sweet, and beautifully balanced with gin and bitters. By the end, I was full, happy, and honestly impressed. Even if you’re a meat eater, this menu proves veggie food can be bold, indulgent, and seriously tasty. Highly recommend giving it a go!

So I went to Bubala for my friend’s birthday, the food was absolutely amazing and outstanding service. You will notice on my photo some of the dishes were already started, this is because they were so good I couldn’t wait! Started with the pickles, yeah they are good, or the starters, but every dish is better than the last one! And it keeps getting better and better! Amazing place. All the dishes we had were vegetarian, and i am omnivore. Also vegan option available. Thank you Bubala.

We visited Bubala Spitalfields to try their Mezze set menu, and it was easily some of the best food we’ve had in London. It is genuinely difficult to pick a favorite because every dish was executed perfectly, but a few absolute standouts were: Halloumi, Laffa Bread & Hummus (they even brought us extra at no charge!), and the Confit Potatoes. Every dish was elevated with dressings that made them out of the world. They have both vegetarian and vegan options for the Mezze sat menu, with small modifications between them. Everyone on the table needs to chose the same. All dishes are served in sharing plates. We got a lovely table by the window. A huge shoutout to Kai and Ruby, who were incredibly kind and attentive, and made our Valentine's date feel special.
