I had not been in a long time. I started going many years ago because my father, who hardly drank, thought it was the best bar with an incredible GT. I was staying somewhere else but thought of taking my girlfriend and having a few before a concert we had come to see. I will start by saying that they don’t need any reviews….they are as good as I remember them, if not better. The young Andrea took care of us, he is great, incredible at his job…he could sell you anything, literally. Andrea ´sold´us a few drinks which where incredible. The Coral was strong but very well balanced. The BRB was what you would always expect. The pisco had equilibrium. The Sundown was not a let down, far from it but not as addictive as Luci. We ended up having 3 of those. As you can imagine we left very happy for the Dani Martin concert. My girlfriend ended up paying. Is it expensive? Not in my view but it should be obvious that to go to the Connaught is not cheap. A total success Andrea, so thank you for your part in making your variable allow the equation to be 1. PD., The GT was very good but after I tried the one at the Bellwood in Tokyo nothing has come close.
An afternoon at The Connaught is an experience of quiet luxury, where time appears to slow and every detail is executed with absolute grace. Served in the serene surroundings of Jean-Georges or the elegant Connaught Patisserie, afternoon tea combines classic British tradition with a subtle touch of modern refinement. Guests are greeted with a selection of the finest teas, expertly brewed and poured, ranging from delicate white teas and rare oolongs to bold, aromatic blends. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive, allowing conversation to unfold comfortably while every need is anticipated. Tiered stands arrive dressed with warm, freshly baked scones, served with rich clotted cream and seasonal preserves. An array of precisely crafted pastries and patisserie follows – jewel-like cakes, light mousses, and intricately layered desserts that are as visually beautiful as they are indulgent. Sandwiches, cut with immaculate precision, offer traditional fillings alongside thoughtful contemporary combinations. The atmosphere is peaceful, refined, and quietly glamorous. Soft lighting, polished silver, and the gentle hum of relaxed afternoon conversation create a setting that feels both intimate and special. A glass of champagne can be added, elevating the occasion into a celebration. Whether enjoyed as a leisurely treat, a meeting with friends, or a moment of calm in the heart of Mayfair, afternoon tea at The Connaught is an invitation to linger. It is a timeless experience, perfectly balanced between tradition and sophistication, and one that leaves a lasting impression long after the final cup is poured.
This bar is a must if you’re looking for some of the coolest, most stylish, and best cocktails in London. The small bites were fantastic, and I had the best cocktail I’ve tried in London here. If you’re looking for a chic, elegant, and effortlessly cool bar, it’s perfect for special meetups, romantic dates, or intimate evenings.
Best martini I’ve ever had. I can see why it’s ranked as the number 6 best bar in the world currently. I came with 2 people before 5pm on a weeknight and was able to get a seating for an hour. It’s “walk-ins only” but they definitely give preference to hotel guests which is understandable. If you’re a martini fan you must come here. At first I thought maybe it was just for the show of the famous trolly cart but no, it really was worth it and I highly recommend the experience.
Fantastic bar. The atmosphere is perfect. They limit the number of attendees, providing a limited number of standing room positions at the bar and then they will seat you as soon as a table opens. They welcome you with a light, refreshing amuse bouche mini cocktail to open your palate as you browse the menu. The drinks they serve are wonderful, with artistic presentation that complement the aroma and flavor. I'm not a martini drinker myself, but just watching the martini bar in action was a delight. This place is well worth the money for a good time.
