The historic hotel bar that inspired Ian Fleming's 'shaken, not stirred' line, famous for its incredibly potent martinis.

I have always wanted to visit Dukes and sample a legendary Martini 🍸 and thankfully got the chance. Rather compact surroundings but very well appointed and dozed class and history. We didn't book but got lucky there was a table for two available, several arriving after us were disappointed. Service was friendly and efficient, the drinks were incredible. Not cheap, but that's not the point here, it's about the quality and the experience. A must for martini lovers

I was bought a Duke’s voucher for Christmas 2025, by my Partner, we went down to london on 30th and arrived at Duke’s Hotel at 3.15 in the afternoon and were warmly welcomed in. We were politely told that there was a waiting list and would be called in due time, we waited for about an hour but thatcwent wuickly and then our time arrived, fantastic service and coctails to match, a Vesper Martini each then a Miss Moneypenny for Becky and a Martinez for myself. Truely marvellous experience. Be patient and wait to be called in it is truelly worth it

The martini was 🤌🏻 A perfect place to start the night. Definitely wear a button up and dress shoes. Perfect environment to chat and have yourself a drink. The martini experience here is a MUST!

This place used to be special, it was a stalwart on the London Cocktail scene. The Martini's were a right of passage, akin to having Takao Mori making you a Martini in Japan. However, a combination of Instagram / Tik Tok / the weight of its own legacy, have taken this to a point where as a bar, it can't sustain itself without loss of integrity. At £20-£23 a drink, it almost makes sense to go for the grandeur and the history and the great Martinis but at £27.50 a glass, it falls over, the value proposition isn't there. Service is weak, the chap maintaining the wait list on his scrap book is not really sure who is in the waiting room, when they arrived, why they're there - so it's a bit of pot luck if you actually get seated! Go, to tick the box, but know London has many many more joints slinging a Martini as good but for a fraction of the price and less friction to actually get seated with much better surroundings.

Have wanted to go here for a very long time and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest. The martini was icy cold, crystal clear and perfectly dry. I love how they make it at your table and talk you through it. Expensive but an enjoyable experience.
