Had such a great experience at Carlito's Gardel. We sat on the back patio, and it was the perfect ambiance — cozy, elegant, and such a beautiful setting for dinner. The food was absolutely incredible and clearly made with care and quality ingredients. The scallops were buttery, flavorful, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The branzino was decent, and my mom really enjoyed the skirt steak, which was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was just as impressive. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire dining experience feel special without being overbearing. One thing that really stood out was that the owner made his way around to every table, checking in with guests and creating such a welcoming, personal touch. You can tell they truly take pride in both the food and the overall experience. The only small downsides for me were the espresso martini, which I personally didn’t enjoy because of the orange twist, and some confusion around parking since I was told three different prices. However, those were minor compared to the overall experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend Carlito’s Gardel if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience with beautiful ambiance, quality food, and exceptional hospitality. I can’t wait to go back.

The best part of the best expensive restaurants, or at least tied with the incredible food, is the quality of the staff. There's nothing better than interacting with people who love their jobs and are true subject-matter experts, and everyone at Carlitos Gardel fits that description perfectly. It's a small, intimate place with some of the best food I've ever eaten, and as long as you're not worried about the number on the check at the end of the meal, I think this steakhouse sits right in the top echelon of LA restaurants.

Carlitos Gardel Argentine Steakhouse is fantastic. The ambiance feels straight out of Europe- romantic, lively, and perfect for a special occasion, date night, or group dinner. It’s expensive so definitely more of a special occasion spot, or if you just want to treat yourself! The food is excellent across the board, with the steak being the highlight, served hot and sliced tableside. Pastas, appetizers, salads, and sides were all great, especially the beef empanadas and french fries. The warm complimentary bread served with chimichurri sauce is SO good! Service was attentive and professional, and the live music the night we visited added so much to the experience. Highly recommend, especially if you love steak!

I originally planned to take my husband to this spot for his birthday, but we had to cancel because of the fires near Sunset. So for our anniversary, he completely surprised me by taking me instead—and I’m so glad he did! We started with the burrata with prosciutto and a Caesar salad. The Caesar was especially delicious, served with anchovies perched right on top of the romaine spear—such a bold, classic touch. For the main course, I had the ravioles de trufa (truffle ravioli), and he ordered tapa de ojo (prime ribeye cap). We shared a side of creamed spinach. My ravioli was cooked perfectly, rich, and creamy—absolutely amazing. His ribeye cap was a standout: perfectly medium rare and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The creamed spinach was tasty, but we both felt it leaned a bit too rich. We ended the night with not one, but two desserts: the bread pudding and the mascarpone. A sweet finish to a thoughtful and memorable evening. Our server was very pleasant and attentive throughout most of the meal. Toward the end, however, we had to wait quite a while for the check. I get it—it was getting busier—but we’re not the type to linger and talk. We were ready to pay and head out. *Parking is valet only: $15

Incredible steakhouse! What a hidden gem. The food was fantastic (would recommend the skirt steak and ribeye medallion), service was impeccable (shout out to Carter for making our night wonderful), and the atmosphere felt like walking back into old Hollywood. The vibe is romantic and intimate. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great steak!
