Incredible meal all around!! Everything was extremely fresh. Tuna ceviche was nice and bright, and scallops were very sweet and in a delicious spicy lime broth. Branzino was grilled nicely and stuffed with onions and lemons. The rice and beans on the side were also great and came with warm blue corn tortillas, which made for some great tacos. Octopus tacos were the standout of the meal. The meat was extremely tender and on a bed of tomatoes and grilled onions, which were very sweet and smoky. I probably could’ve had five more of those. There are four self-serve salsas, which were all very good. The white one is delicious but sooooo spicy!!! We got there around 10:45 AM on a Saturday and were maybe the 15th party in line. Would recommend getting there pretty early, as the line started picking up around 11 and wrapped around the corner. Holbox is located inside a food hall, so there is lots of seating (outdoor seating as well), and service is fast.

This was definitely an experience. As someone not from the West Coast, driving into the area felt a little unexpected for a Michelin-recognized spot. It’s tucked inside a food hall with minimal signage, so just look for the line on the right when you walk in. I went on a weekday about an hour before closing, so the wait was pretty minimal. The menu is so good it’s hard to choose, so I didn’t. I ordered one of each type of dish. Tacos (the kanpachi taco was the standout), tuna tostada, scallop aguachile, yellowtail ceviche, coctel de camarón, and sea urchin. The uni wasn’t for me, and just a heads up, it’s served very fresh, like still moving when it hits the table. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and well executed. It felt authentic without trying too hard, which I appreciated. The staff was friendly and the whole process ran smoothly, even in a busy food hall setting.

100% worth the wait (which wasn’t even that long, arrived at 11:15a and waited 30 min to get seated). A bit tricky to find seating. Highly recommend the fish taco. It’s incredible (and I’m a fish taco expert!) The grilled kanpachi taco is good, fine. The tuna ceviche is SO fresh and well dressed. Also, churros and lemonade were good. But the best part are the hot sauces. They add so much dimension to the tacos. Will definitely be returning and trying other items. Definitely affordable and worth every penny.

Really fresh food! Holbox has been on my list for a long time, and for seafood, I think it's very reasonably priced. It's located in Mercado la Paloma and has free parking. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday, and the line was about 20 minutes long. The mercado was pretty busy, so it was slightly hard to find a good place to sit. However, the service was very fast. The ambiance is casual and lively. We got ceviche mixto, smoked kanpachi tostada, Baja fish taco, taco de pulpo en su tinta, and churros! The ceviche mixto is a must, it was incredibly fresh! I would skip the smoked kanpachi tostada and taco de pulpo on my next visit; I thought they were just okay. The Baja fish taco was amazing, definitely try it! The star of the night was definitely the churros! They were crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside, and the chocolate sauce was delicious. Overall, it totally deserves the hype.

Amazing and fresh seafood, some of the best I've ever had! We were there on a Friday at 6pm and got lucky - found a table immediately and waited less than 5 minutes in line to order. Everything was very good, and my favorites were the prawn and scallop aguachile, and the mixed ceviche. The four of us spent about $250 in total.
