Been here twice without reservations, first time we were sat at a booth right away, second time we were told the wait would be about 2.5 hours unless we were willing to sit at the bar, once at the bar for 10 minutes or so we got offered a small table in the back. We were sat next to a loud family and the servers apologized to us about it even tho we never complained or minded it. They greet you with a basket of complimentary warm bread and cold butter, the bread gets cold fast and the butters hard to spread. They also offer refills on the bread. The steaks are cooked and seasoned perfectly. We've had the Kansas Steak, Spencer steak and the thick cut prime rib (great but not our preferred meat) . The sides have all been good, we've tried the mashed potatoes(so simple yet so so satisfying), French onion soup, filet mignon chili, crispy fried onions, baked potato & sauteed garlic spinach. The berry mojito was amazing the first time and sadly not great the second visit 🤧. The red velvet cake was nothing special just ok, kinda giving grocery store cake, the key lime pie was good. Parking is valet in the back of the restaurant for $5.50 but they will pocket your change and tip themselves without asking. Gave $10 and didn't get change when they only drive your car a few feet away to park it themselves. 🧍🏻♀️ Kinda weird and entitled in my opinion, We just spent $200 + tip inside and then have to tip on top of parking for parking. 🧍🏻♀️
I really wanted to like this place. It’s located right in the heart of Los Angeles and honestly, the food and the menu were good. No complaints there. But our experience with the service was an absolute nightmare. We were a group of five, and from the moment we arrived, our waiter was inattentive and seemed completely disorganized. He took our order in a very messy way, and during the entire meal, he barely came by to ask how things were. We just felt ignored. The real shock came at the end when we asked for the bill. He told us they only accept cash or a physical credit card—no Apple Pay. Since we are foreigners, we don’t usually carry much cash, so we explained the situation. That’s when things got really ugly. He threatened us multiple times, saying he would call the police and that we would go to prison. For not being able to pay a restaurant bill. Keep in mind, nowhere on the menu or at the entrance did it say that Apple Pay wasn’t accepted. After a long and uncomfortable discussion, he suddenly demanded that we give him our ID so he could make a copy of it. We didn’t understand why that was necessary at all. Finally, after we refused, one of the managers came over. And then she dropped the bombshell: they do accept Apple Pay. But according to her, they still needed a copy of our ID “just in case.” That’s when we flat out refused and told her that this is the only restaurant in all of Los Angeles with such a bizarre payment policy. At that moment, we confronted them: the waiter had explicitly lied to us by saying they had no Apple Pay at all. He admitted it. He just lied. Honestly, a very, very bad experience. I strongly advise against coming here, especially if you're a tourist or used to paying with your phone.
This is a Cozy steakhouse with valet parking. It was my birthday and I was here on business so I decided to treat myself to the Spencer ribeye, mashed potatoes and some broccoli. Staff was attentive, they ask that you mute your phone so the environment was friendly and the food was as you'd expect for a steakhouse with this longevity. I skipped the steak toppers, and I'm glad I did. The meat was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. The broccoli was fresh steamed, and I found that dipping the heads in the cheese sauce really made them shine. Fantastic meal, if I'm here for my birthday next year I'd come again!
Food was okay but what I experienced here was unpleasant. The server got the order wrong, extrachaging a bottle of alchol. We told him there was a mistake on the bill but he refused to correct it. We strived to point out what was wrong with the order from the suspiciously SMUDGED bill. He ended up getting us a correct one, which was very clean and new. He obviously seemd busted. No more words from him. I do not want to believe that your staff has done this over a long period of time to the tourists. But still it was very unpleasant and ruined our dinner. 결제할때 꼭 빌지 잘 확인해보세요 술 좀 마셨다고 먹지도 않은 술 추가합니다 음식은 맛은 있으나 서비스는 기대하기 어렵습니다
Great spot for a solid steak dinner. It was cooked close to what I requested and had a nice char on the outside while staying juicy inside. The sides were decent and complemented the meal well. Service was friendly and attentive, though there was a slight wait during peak hours. Overall, a good experience and I’d definitely consider coming back again.
