Believe the hype-the food here is excellent. We got 6 tacos and consomme for $30 altogether. Tacos were flavorful, and the consomme was fantastic. Good amounts of meat and nice balance with seasoning. I'd go back!
It's an incredible dining experience. Their birria tacos are simply delicious, and the broth that accompanies them is the best. My daughter really enjoyed her meal. Don't miss out on visiting this place, 100% recommended.
Birria-Landia’s famous birria tacos loaded with tender beef and vibrant salsa. Birria-Landia deserves a special shoutout for delivering a masterclass in birria tacos, consomé, tostadas, and mulitas. As a taco enthusiast, I was blown away by the exceptional quality and depth of flavor in each of these offerings. This Queens-born taco truck (now a multi-location NYC icon) has rightly earned a cult following for its authentic Tijuana-style birria . It’s even been credited with “changing the taco landscape” in the city – and after tasting their food, I completely agree. Birria-Landia keeps the menu simple – just four items – and each one is outstanding. The secret is the succulent birria itself: beef slow-simmered for hours in a rich, brick-red chili adobo that infuses every bite with incredible depth of flavor. Bite into a birria taco and you’ll get juicy, fall-apart beef in a tortilla that’s been dipped in the savory consomé and crisped on the griddle for extra flavor – an explosion of savory goodness. That consomé (the coveted broth) is the soul of the meal, packing a bold, tangy richness that elevates everything it touches . Even the tostada – a crispy tortilla piled high with birria – comes drizzled with that copper-hued broth (liquid gold you won’t want to waste) , and the mulita (a cheese-filled birria “sandwich”) reaches its full indulgent potential when you dunk it into the consomé for a next-level flavor boost . In short, Birria-Landia has set the bar for birria in NYC, and I’m beyond impressed. Consider this my personal thank-you to the team – you’ve won a loyal fan, and I’ll be eagerly back for more. Highly recommended for anyone who loves bold, authentic flavors!
If you’re looking for high-quality Mexican street food, Birria-Landia is definitely worth the visit. It’s a classic food truck setup, so keep in mind there is no indoor or dedicated outside seating—you’ll likely be eating standing up or snagging one of the very few limited tables nearby. The food is incredibly good for the price. I ordered the Mulita, the Birria de Res Tacos, and the Tostada, and every item was packed with flavor. They also have a good selection of traditional Mexican drinks to wash it all down. This could easily become my go-to Mexican food truck. It’s simple, authentic, and hits the spot every time.
Ordered delivery from here, probably would’ve been better if I got it myself fresh. Overall wasn’t bad. If you’re looking for solid birria I’d recommend. Not the best birria I’ve had, but I love the addition of the picked red onions and spicy sauce on the side. I also had the cheese tostada birria ‘sandwich’ known as the multida which was tasty and had cheese. The birria itself isn’t the most flavorful but it does have a nice flavor and isn’t too fatty which I was glad about. The taco shell was great, tastes like it soaked in soaked in consume or toasted with achote oil. Nicely packaged and overall not a bad value at 5 dollars a taco and a bit more for the tostada.
