Order the GRILLED OYSTERS!! They are spectacular. Always a great time at Minetta. We made our reservation for late lunch or early dinner and this was lovely around 3pm on a weekday. Still a great menu. Cocktails are great. Husband got the espresso martini and it was very well made as was my Bloody Mary. I ordered us both prosecco as well that was delicious. The waitstaff was wonderful- Ashlyn was our server and she was very accommodating as was the manager on duty, Clark. From the fresh warm bread to our entrees everything was delicious. The Duck Ragu with Pappardelle pasta was great, al dente, homemade to perfection. The filet mignon was cooked very well, charred nicely on the outside. Sides was lovely and the desert was rich and delicious! Highly recommend for a nice brunch or dinner or even just cocktails and the grilled oysters.
I was so excited to finally try this classic spot! Service overall: 10/10. The restrooms were clean, which is always a good sign. For food, we tried the Black Aged Burger (medium) and… wow. Honestly, it was orgasmic 😂 A burger without cheese? Yes — and it was incredible. You could really taste the flavor of the meat: soft, juicy, buttery, and perfectly cooked. We didn’t have cocktails, but we ordered wine and it was great. Also, they definitely pour more than 4oz, which makes it even better 😉 Totally recommend!
Came in for a late lunch excited to try this place. The atmosphere is great - old school tavern, unassuming from the outside, lively bar. The service was excellent from start to finish and the cocktails and drinks were delicious. The food left a little bit to be desired. The apps we tried were great (bone marrow 8/10; steak tartare 7/10). We had a range of entrees at the table... the moules frites were the highlight. The pappardelle was nothing special. The steak frites included a generous portion of steak that paired well with the bearnaise sauce and the fries were outstanding. However, there was no difference between the medium and medium rare that was ordered for the table, the kitchen went a bit overboard on the pepper seasoning, and the steak knives we received were less sharp than the butter knives we already had. Overall, worth checking out at least once. I'd come back if I was in the area to try the burger.
We boldly walked in on a Friday night for our anniversary and were seated at the bar after an hour wait - not too bad! You go for the atmosphere and the service, it was lovely. Drinks were delicious and we especially loved the squab and the chocolate soufflé (pictures don’t show how big it is, we couldn’t finish it! Despite our best efforts). I might get hate for this but the burger was just all right for my tastes. I like cheeseburgers and don’t know enough about beef to appreciate the dryagedness🤷 we would 100% go back for a special occasion.
A place with history. Stunning interior. Still relevant and very beautiful. The Norwegian eggs were a little too salty, perhaps because of the salmon, but the croque monsieur was amazing! The restaurant was packed, but we managed to get a seat at the bar. We would love to return to a place like this.
