I took my mother to Westlight because I wanted to show her something truly beautiful, enjoy the views, and have a nice meal with cocktails—and everything was absolutely perfect. The atmosphere is stunning, the views are breathtaking, and the overall vibe feels special from the moment you arrive. The cocktails were excellent, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. What meant the most to me was how thoughtful and attentive the staff were with my mom. She can’t have gluten, and they took great care to make sure she felt comfortable and safe. Our server went above and beyond—he even changed a cocktail for my mom’s friend when she didn’t like it, without us even asking. That level of kindness and attention really stood out. On top of being incredibly professional, our server was also very charming, which made the experience even more enjoyable 😊 It was a perfect evening, and a beautiful memory to share with my mother. I would absolutely recommend Westlight for a special occasion or for anyone who wants to experience NYC at its
We visited Westlight as a group of four and initially had a great experience. The atmosphere, cocktails, food, music, and especially the view over New York were absolutely beautiful. Everything felt exactly like what you would expect from a high-end rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the entire experience was completely ruined at the end. After paying our bill, we left a tip of around 15%, which is still a reasonable gratuity. A few minutes later, our waiter came back to our table visibly angry and nervous, speaking to us in a very aggressive and unprofessional tone. He told us the tip was “not enough” and insisted that we should pay more. He even pulled out a calculator and started calculating percentages in front of us while raising his voice. This was honestly shocking behavior, especially for a venue positioning itself as an upscale rooftop bar. No guest should ever be pressured, confronted, or made uncomfortable after paying their bill. Tipping is voluntary, and aggressively demanding more money from customers is completely unacceptable. What should have been a memorable evening ended on a very negative note because of one staff member’s behavior. Management seriously needs to address professionalism and customer service standards. We left feeling uncomfortable and disappointed.
Great rooftop spot in Williamsburg. The Manhattan view is amazing, especially at sunset. Drinks are really good, food is solid, and the vibe is clean and chill. Staff was professional and everything felt smooth. Perfect place to relax, celebrate, or bring someone special. Definitely coming back.
The food is just as incredible as the view of New York City. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this one does! I highly recommend the chicken empanadas and the fried calamari—they were delicious.
The scenery is absolutely stunning. If you’re coming here to take beautiful photos or enjoy the night view, this place is definitely worth it. But if you’re looking for great food, it might not be the best choice. The prices are moderate—not cheap, but not too expensive either. It’s definitely a great spot for dates or gatherings. The photo shows what I ordered when I went there—everything was quite good except for the Coke. Maybe it’s just because I don’t like flavored Coke, but honestly, it tasted terrible. P.S. I recommend sitting indoors during spring, autumn and winter. You can step outside to take some photos, but don’t eat out there. The wind was so strong when I went that my food got cold right after it was served. Overall, though, I’d still highly recommend this place.
