We went to listen to some live Jazz (retrospective about Michel Legrand with a pianist and a French singer) in this very cozy little club where you are anywhere in the room at about 6 feet max from the musicians. So it's worth every minute if you choose the artist you like: I went there about 5 times and it was a home run each time. Have a drink before and even during the show served by a nice cocktail waitress. The great thing is that the early show starts around 7 pm which gives you plenty of time to go and dine afterwards and get home before it's too late. The shows usually last about one hour and a half.

Sundays happen to be one of the jam sessions night but get there early (before 9pm) or you are in for a wait. Thankfully, Sarah and Karim from the bar made the wait quite pleasant and staff all around had great energy. Grateful for my patience because I was rewarded with a lovely seat in the "Upper Room" where the magic of the music unfolds and the intuitive groove was just fantastic.

25€ for a concert. The room is made to fit as many people per inch as possible. As a result everyone is so tight in their seats that you can't even move. There's a lot of noise during the concert because the waiter is taking orders while musicians are playing. A pint of beer is 11€, and you can get a drink if the server is willing to do so.

We were amazed by the artists’ voices, but the service ruined the whole experience. When we arrived, we were told there was no space available, so we had to sit downstairs and wait while ordering something to drink. Nobody informed us about the entrance fee, which we were actually happy to pay because of the quality of the artists. However, nobody told us that we would also be required to order another drink before even finishing the first one. When we explained to the waitress that we had not finished our first drinks yet, she was extremely rude, and we were honestly shocked by her attitude. After this experience and this kind of behavior, I really have to think twice before going there again.

The arrogance of the musicians on Friday evening jam is astonishing. Joining music sessions should be a service for people that pay and join the club to have fun, not an occasion to be ashamed publicly. I would not recommend curious visitors that want to sing some songs and have some fun with friends to join event.
