This restaurant is about the quality of the ingredients - you can tell the fish is fresh and full of flavour, it’s fantastic. The highlight was the spider crab for sure. Meaty, fresh and juicy, for 17€ which I think is very reasonably priced. The cod roe tarama was great and went well with their delicious bread. Another great dish was the stone bass tiradito, again fresh and full of flavour. My recommendation would be to focus on the non-cooked dishes. The trout didn’t work with the tartare sauce and fried potatoes. It was just too heavy, with flavours concealed by the grease. To finish we had skate wing with sauce blanquette, which was good but didn’t hit the spot as the raw fish dishes did. Staff were nice, quick and efficient. They’ll keep your bread basket filled at all times and the bread is too good to resist.
My last meal in Paris and it was fantastic! Clamato is a seafood tapas restaurant by Septime and they serve creative seafood and vegetable dishes with a variety of fusion ingredients. The seafood is so fresh and each dish was full of delicious flavors. I loved all the dishes that we tried, with my favorites being the oysters, cockles with crispy potatoes, and sea bream tiradito with kiwi sauce! What we ordered: Cockles, Chipotle Butter, Crispy Potatoes €16 - very tasty and flavorful, the crispy potatoes add a great crunchy touch. Amande Clam from Mont Saint Michel x6 €10, Special Oyster from Isigny x6 €24, and Palourde Clam from Camargue x6 €16 - very fresh, after having both, I prefer oysters over clams. Sea Bream Tiradito with Kiwi sauce €17 - I don't think I've had kiwi sauce before, but they made it work! A standout dish. White Asparagus, Creamy Savagnin sauce, and Haddock €22 - I liked the creamy sauce, but this was my least favorite dish, probably because I don't like asparagus too much. Blufin Tuna, Turnip, & Chili Oil €21 - another interesting fusion dish, I enjoyed it! They're a Michelin bib gourmand meaning they offer good value for money. After finishing the meal, I certainly agree! No reservations, so it's first come first serve. We arrived at 1pm and only had to wait a short while before being seated. The rustic and casual ambience made for an excellent last dining experience, Clamato was definitely one of my favorite meals. Seafood lovers, you must try this spot when in Paris!
Unfussy seafood restaurant serving family-style sharing plates. We appreciated that the location is in a quiet neighborhood away from the tourist crowds. The shellfish and fish are exceptionally fresh and high quality, with a delicate, natural sweetness that really stands out. The seafood pairs beautifully with the sauces—some bold and spicy, others bright and citrusy—but always thoughtfully balanced. Nothing overwhelms the seafood; instead, the sauces enhance and elevate its natural flavors. We visited for lunch and ended up trying nearly every item on the menu.
I had a truly wonderful evening at Clamato with friends. The service was exceptionally attentive, making us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere is incredibly warm and inviting. The perfect setting for a memorable night out. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy an exquisite dining experience!
It was truly a culinary journey! We had to wait a bit before getting a table, but it was absolutely worth it. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was excellent. The food was legendary! My personal favorite was the Maple Syrup Tart with Vanilla Whipped Cream — an absolute must-try!!!
