I'm still absolutley mesmerized. This museum is incredible beautiful, even without the Monet exhibition it's worth a visit. The rooms were bright and so beautiful. The Monet room in the basement, will have a special place in my heart. I could take my eyes of those paintings and I could've spend a lifetime there. This is a must see, when you are in Paris.

Great museum and art gallery in a lovely building. The specially constructed basement gallery displaying the Monet paintings was particularly effective and impressive. I was disappointed there weren't more of Bethe Morisot's works on show as I specifically visited to see her paintings. Worthwhile booking ahead to arrive at opening time as it filled up within the hour and it was more difficult to view the paintings. Highly recommended, especially if you are interested in Impressionism.

I dont how I didnt come before to this beautiful museum! Its beautiful the permanent collection of Monet its spectacular, the place is so well curated and delicate. This time there was an exposition of Giovanni Segantini and it was amazing! Cant wait to come back

Many know of the more famous museums in Paris like Musee L’Orangerie and Musee D’Orsay but this place is a hidden gem that is definitely worth visiting if you like Monet. Along the west side of Paris, this was a country lodge owned by the Marmottan family later bequeathed to the art institute and later turned into a museum. The place is wonderfully curated with many of Monet’s painting of his home and garden in Givenchy, some paintings not publicly displayed until after his death. In addition to Monet, there are also works from Berthe Morisot, a fellow impressionist and random works from other artists (including 12 and 13th century polyptychs and illuminations) that were part of the Marmottan family collection and items bequeathed to the art institute. You can spend a good 1-1.5 hours here and come away with getting a good feel for what it must look like in Monet’s garden. If you’re into impressionistic art, this is a must do.

Great museum with an excellent collection of Impressionist art and an exhibit dedicated to famous pieces by Claude Monet. The museum is also great for the art lover because, in comparison to other Paris museums, it is less crowded providing a better opportunity to admire the works displayed. They offer a good size gift shop and an outdoor cafe. Beautiful parks nearby to pause after your visit.
