A friend recommended Trapizzino to me, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. I was dining alone and waited for a table to open on the patio in the heart of Trastevere. It was well worth the wait. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life, and sitting outside on a beautiful afternoon was one of my favorite experiences in Rome. The food was phenomenal. The photos look great, but they don’t come close to capturing the flavor. Every bite was packed with rich, authentic taste, and it’s easy to understand why this place has become such a Roman favorite. What made the experience truly memorable was the hospitality. I struck up a conversation with the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We talked for a while, and when I asked about gelato, he recommended a local spot where he told me he takes his son on his days off. It turned out to be an excellent recommendation and exactly the kind of local experience I was hoping to find. Great food, genuine hospitality, and an unforgettable atmosphere in the heart of Trastevere. If you’re visiting Rome, don’t miss Trapizzino. It was one of the highlights of my trip, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Trapizzino was one of our favorite casual food spots in Rome. The food was amazing, with so many delicious trapizzini and great wine options to choose from. Everything felt authentic, flavorful, and perfect for a quick but satisfying meal. The staff were super attentive and friendly, and they even gave us a really cool shirt from the place, which made the experience even more memorable. Prices were very good for the quality, and the location in Trastevere is perfect. Such a great spot to grab a quick bite and some wine before heading out to the bars at night. The whole vibe was fun, relaxed, and very Roman. Would absolutely come back every time we visit Rome!
This was a place that came highly recommended by many and it didn't disappoint at all. Loved the Supplì Classico — Beef Ragu & Mozzarella Cheese as well as the Trapizzino Chicken which was mouth watering good. There was a bit of wait as there were queues to get a table or queue to order for takeaway. We chose the takeaway option as we felt it's quicker. There is also a bench to wait outside or some steps across the small street to wait while the food is getting ready. Loved the unique way of their food presentation and would definitely recommend this place. It's a must try when in Rome.
I visited this place when i was on rome to try out their signature trappizino's. The place was super crowded right next to the Trastevere steps where usually there sre performances happening everyday in the night. There is a possibility to take out, dine indoors or outdoors. So there is s seperate line for the take away and for dine ins. Clearly indicate your motives to the waiter outside to avoid unwanted wait. Once you get in, the staff were duper friendly to guide you through the menu and give suggestions. The food quantity was decent and worth a try once. I also tried the Supplis which sre one of Rome's famous street food here. I was super happy with the taste of the food I had. I was afraid of running out of vegetarian options here but there were additional options for vegetarians in the daily menu which was s pleasant surprise. So i would definitely recommend to experience this place and enjoy the local street food from here. Happy eating 🤤
One of our best meals in Italy! Trapizzino in Trastevere absolutely blew us away. The trapizzini were melt-in-your-mouth delicious — we tried the pollo alla cacciatore (chicken) and parmigiana di melanzane (eggplant), and both were outstanding. We also ordered the “Playvino” tasting, a sommelier’s choice flight of three wines. Each wine was distinct, and the sommelier took the time to explain the process and the history behind them, which made the experience even more special. We ended the meal with the tiramisu, which was a bit of a miss, so I’d skip that next time. They have a takeout counter too if you are in a rush. The service was great. And the decor was fabulous! Overall, highly recommended. We completely fell in love with this place!
