Very fancy venue where you can eat whilst watching the artist perform. They open an hour before the show starts which is how long you can order food - only drinks can be ordered when the lights go down. (Food ordered beforehand will be served during the performance) They allocate servers for your table but they don’t state who it is so trying to get the attention of a server was difficult. For the artist we watched, it would have been nice to have the vocalist’s microphone be a bit louder as they were being drowned out by the musicians but overall very good. Would go again to enjoy the music in this cozy, small venue.
Started with a drink at Backyard while waiting for the door opening. Live performance was amazing. Staff was professional and very kind. Reservation system charged the payment in front so I don’t know why I was stopped to check the payment outside though they brought the bill as zero yen very quickly. I don’t know whether they have another system for checking bills or they were asking for a tip(highly unusual in Japan). It was my first visit so it is likely that I’ve missed something in the emails. Other than that, my friends and I enjoyed the Sunday evening there.
Fantastic experience watching the legendary Count Basie Orchestra! Reservations recommended. This is the view from the house right side of the stage, seats B5-1&2. Truthfully there isn’t a bad seat in the house - you’ll be able to see and hear no matter where you are. Very smooth checkout system if you booked online - they will charge your card directly so there’s no need to queue after the show. Staff are discreet and attentive.
We had such a great night with Ibrahim Maalouf and the Trumpets of Michel-Ange! The service was super friendly and attentive, and the live show was just amazing — great energy and really talented musicians. The food was even better than we expected. We especially liked the beef and cheese sandwich, though we’d probably prefer a different type of bread. The saffron garlic mayo with the mussel fritters was something new for us, and we really enjoyed it. I usually drink hibiscus, but this was our first time trying shrimp ajillo with hibiscus as spices — surprisingly delicious combo! Overall, the flavors were way beyond what we anticipated. We did order a green salad with dates and pecans, but it came without them at first. When we mentioned it to our server, she immediately offered to remake it, but we just asked to have the dates and pecans brought separately — which she did right away. After the show, they even offered complimentary coffee or tea because of what happened with the salad, which was such a nice touch to end the evening. Highly recommend this place — great vibe, great food, and even better people. We’ll definitely be back!
One of the best Jazz clubs in Tokyo. It's really worth its name and reputation. I came here for Kandace Springs show and it was so good. The quality of sound is amazing and food and drinks are great as well.
