Saido offers a course meal that truly felt like a Michelin-star experience—both the food and the overall experience were amazing. The restaurant is fully vegan, and they also accommodate gluten-free requests on notice. We started with a soup, followed by a salad—which ended up being the highlight of my meal. The presentation built anticipation, and the taste exceeded all expectations. For the main course, I had the abura soba, and my sibling had the vegan eel as the gluten-free option. For dessert, I had the raspberry mousse, and my sibling had the chocolate cake. Both desserts were excellent, but the chocolate cake was absolute perfection. Their drinks were also very good, and each dish was explained carefully by the attentive staff, whom we absolutely loved. I highly recommend Saido for anyone seeking a top-notch vegan dining experience.

They pay incredible attention to detail, and it’s hard to believe all the dishes are made entirely from vegetables. I loved the portion size of each course, perfectly satisfying without feeling too full. Thank you to the owner for the thoughtful care and the adorable posters; you’ve completely won over both my husband and me. We’ll definitely be back!

Really amazing food with awesome and creative presentation. Smokey flavor was incredible. My husband and I went there for lunch. They have set menus and you must book in advance. The unagi was very impressive and realistic tasting. Small seating area Not too far from the train station, you walk through a plant nursery to reach the restaurant. Really lovely hostess

We capped off our Japan trip with a visit to Saido for dinner and it was our favorite restaurant experience of the trip. It's a small operation requiring a reservation with one server and the chef working to serve about 4 tables for the evening. Each vegan course was very thoughtfully chosen with high attention to detail and care put into each. Both of us loved everything we ate and wished we could've tried everything. Our server was very friendly and professional. It was a fairly casual restaurant experience and not at all pretentious. Our server was happy to speak in English so we never felt uncomfortable. The chef was very friendly too occasionally poking his head out from his kitchen with a smile before returning to his craft. They both walked us outside to the beautiful garden upon our departure and seemed genuinely happy to serve us. If you're looking for a must-try restaurant in Tokyo, vegan or not, I'd recommend you come to Saido - you won't be disappointed.
