Made reservations and was seated as soon as I arrived. We only had an hour and a half which was enough time to enjoy the meal, but I could’ve stayed another half hour easily. Great place to come enjoy with friends. The jyuyondai sake is my favorite and it never disappoints. The food was excellent and as I entered I ordered everything all at once and asked the dishes to be brought out one at a time. I ordered everything myself because I really don’t like liver and other organs.. we were a party of 5 with 2 drinkers and spent 37,000 for everything and were very satisfied when we left. I will definitely come again. Some photos below of some of what was ordered.
Not as good i expected. Some kushis was to hard to eat some was delicious. The service can improve much more, they forget orders and they were overall slow on the pace. We had to wait before and jurying the meal for some time.
Incredibly mid yakitori that's out of the way with service that is slow as molasses. If you want to spend almost two hours for a 12 course meal that is about average quality and pay twice as much, then this is the place for you. No unique cuts or skewers that justify the higher price point at ¥5,000. Also first place that didn't clarify if I wanted tap or bottled water. Forgot to clarify as it was a long day, but hey that's a service piece as well.
A Disappointing Mismatch Between Good Food and Problematic Service The quality of the food itself was acceptable, and the chef clearly has skill. However, the service we experienced was profoundly disappointing and created a frustrating dining atmosphere that overshadowed the meal. The core issue was a lack of communication and attention to detail from the service staff, which felt dismissive. This was evident in several key areas: 1. Confusing and Inattentive Service: When ordering skewers, we specified our selections clearly. Despite this, we were served the same type of skewer twice, indicating a significant error in order management. 2. Lack of Transparency: At the end of the meal, we were presented with a total bill amount with no itemized breakdown. Several items were unfamiliar, and with no way to verify what we were being charged for, it felt opaque and unprofessional. 3. Minimal Engagement: The staff showed no interest in explaining the menu, checking if we were enjoying our meal, or clarifying the charges. We felt ignored throughout the experience. While the kitchen delivered on its promise, the front-of-house service was completely disconnected. The overall experience was so negative that I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I believe it's important for potential customers, especially those who might not be familiar with the cuisine, to be aware of these significant service shortcomings.
The food was magic. I had never tasted chicken heart and neck grilled this way. So tender. Everything else I ordered was excellent or near excellent. My only regret was I wasn’t all that hungry because I wanted to try everything on the menu. Chef welcomed me with a smile and warmly beckoned for me to sit in the bar. My server was extra attentive, kind and helpful. I didn’t have any reservations but was able to get a seat right away. Must have been bec I was there before dinner- around 5. I love the elegant atmosphere and just how silent it was. All in all it was a lovely experience. Arigato gozaimasu. I will be back.
