Hotel 1231 was a beautiful place. It's tucked in a perfect location easy to get to center of town, but their spot is in a charming area in itself. We were checked in promptly. Our room was in the annex and it was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend!
If you're visiting Toruń and need a place to stay, I highly recommend Hotel 1231. Everything about our stay was seamless. As a family of five, we really appreciated how well-prepared everything was in advance — including a baby bed, which was ready upon arrival. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The rooms were spotless, the spa was fantastic, and the food was a real highlight — don’t miss their homemade beef dripping! The location is also excellent, within walking distance to everything in the city. Hotel 1231 is a great choice for travelers of all kinds — even those with high expectations.
Right next to our window there was a big cooling/heating unit that was very loud and who's humming the whole night, except that the hotel was really nice
We stayed at Hotel 1231 for one night, and honestly, I’m glad it was only one. The location is great, right by the castle ruins and Old Town, and the building itself blends historic charm with modern design. We stayed in the renovated (modern) wing, which has some nice touches—clean rooms, eco-friendly lighting, and some tech upgrades. But for a hotel in this price range, the finish feels cheap. The bathroom had only basic body soap—no shampoo or conditioner—which feels like cutting corners. Just two bottles of water in the room. These seem like small things, but they’re the details you expect to be done right at a high-end hotel, and they were missing here. The worst part was the experience at their on-site restaurant, 4 Pory Roku, which is owned by the hotel. The service was poor, and the billing was mishandled. I reached out to the hotel owner via email and through a Google review, and never heard back—which says a lot about how they handle guest issues. This place has potential, but it doesn’t live up to the standard it’s trying to project.
This hotel is so quaint and lovely. They have a mini waterfall upfront. They only have stairs going to the entrance so not very wheelchair-accessible. The floors in the room are wooden and creaky but it’s charming in an old-fashion way. The reason I rated the room as 4 stars is because of the deflated/flat pillows. Other than that, the place was great. They gave gingerbread as a welcome treat. The receptionist is nice and helpful as well. There’s a restaurant nearby and the town center is a 10min walk.
