A themed but genuinely popular spot for Polish classics, especially useful if you want a central meal that feels rooted in local dishes rather than generic European fare.

Visited for Friday lunch and walked in without a reservation — managed to get a table despite it being busy, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was excellent — generous portions, piping hot and well presented. Exactly what you want from traditional Polish cuisine. Service was friendly and warm throughout. Oh, and the toilets were spotless — always a good sign! Highly recommended.
We visited this restaurant because of its great reputation, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the expectations. While we enjoyed the soup, the other dishes were disappointing. My son’s steak was quite tough, and overall, the food didn't sit well with us—I actually felt unwell during the night. The atmosphere and the historical setting are definitely interesting, but based on our experience with the food, we wouldn't return
Had the rouladen and fried pierogies with onions and mushroom cream sauce — absolutely delicious. Everything was rich and comforting. The Polish IPA tied all the flavors together perfectly. The place is extremely popular, so definitely book a table in advance or be prepared to wait in line.
With the restaurant being as popular as it is, be prepared to wait outside to be seated. We have waited approximatley 15minutes. However, once we were seated we were served rather quickly. The food was delicious, in addition to what was shown on the pictures we have ordered their soup of the day and dumpling soup which were tasty as well. The portions are generous and there are options that can be shared among two or more people.
What an incredibly authentic place — it feels almost like a museum! The atmosphere alone is worth the visit. The food was amazing, but the portions are huge — I could only finish half my plate. Still absolutely worth it for the experience and the quality. A must-visit spot in Wrocław.
