The city’s most singular museum experience, built around the enormous panoramic painting that people come for specifically because it is unlike a normal gallery visit.
- Good to know
- Allow about an hour; ticket demand can be high in busy periods.

An amazing experience, the second biggest canvas painting in the world depicting the famous battle of Raclawice. It is placed in a giant rotunda building and there are viewings at timed intervals of half an hour. There is a voiceover in Polish but you can have an MP3 player in many other languages for free timed to the voiceover. The painting is placed in a diorama that enhances the experience. The ticket is around 50pln but you can use it to visit three other museums. The Wroclaw National Museum, the Four Domes Pavilions modern art museum and the Ethnographic Museum (within a 3-month period).
It wasn't what I was expecting at all. I thought it moved or was more of a cinematic entertainment, however it doesn't move and you simply have to walk around. Regardless, the painting is amazing and feels very 3D. We enjoyed learning about the history and watching the painting at the same time.
The Panorama Racławicka is a really unique experience and unlike anything you typically see. It’s housed inside a large, round rotunda-style building specifically designed to display a massive 360 degree panoramic painting. Once inside, you stand in the center and are completely surrounded by the artwork, which depicts the Battle of Raclawice, making it feel incredibly immersive. The concept is very cool and the level of detail is impressive. It truly brings history to life in a creative way. That being said, it can be hard to fully enjoy. It can get very really crowded, with people constantly moving around, which makes it difficult to take everything in at your own pace. The audio guide is informative, but it’s tough to hear clearly at times with all the background noise, which takes away from the experience a bit. Also worth noting there’s a bit of a climb to reach the viewing platform but it's manageable for most. Overall, it’s definitely worth visiting for the concept alone. I recommend booking tickets early if possible to avoid thevlong line. There is also a gift shop to visit conveniently located in the lobby. Its important to go in knowing it may take a little patience to fully appreciate it.
I have never seen such a beautiful canvas painted 360 degrees on the wall. It just looks so real that you cannot take your eyes off it. But is it worth the money? I don't think so 50pln for just watching a painting and some other smaller museums. The price isn't justified but don't miss it if you get it at s discounted rate or free on some days!
Amazing place. Unlike anything I’ve seen elsewhere - makes it a shame other panoramas from this era didn’t survive. Well organised with good audio descriptions available to match the immersive experience of the painting. A mandatory to do in Wroclaw.
